Before skateparks. Before brands. Before we even knew it was called a culture.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the 402 bus ran through Corbeil, Évry, Ris-Orangis, and Grigny. With Jean-Marc and André, we would hang onto the back of the bus, skateboards beneath our feet, just to ride.

We had no idea that elsewhere, a movement was taking shape. We were not trying to be part of it. We were just riding.

402 is the scent of that unselfconscious freedom. Of asphalt, speed, friendship, and a time when we discovered things before giving them a name.

The composition in development gives that memory a material form. A trace of geosmin suggests rain-darkened ground. Birch tar brings a restrained smoky, leathery shadow, an echo of asphalt. Dry woods recall the skateboard beneath our feet, while musks carry the warmth of skin. The intention is to keep those darker textures in the background, leaving room for air and movement.
